Site supervision and quality control

Review fire-protection installation against approved designs, equipment documentation and acceptance criteria, tracking nonconformities through recorded close-out.

Site supervision and quality control (QA/QC) management

Match approved designs to the installed work.

Track fire-protection installation quality from material selection to test records. Özkartay provides site review under a defined supervision and quality-control scope, including projects installed by another contractor. Report findings, owners and close-out evidence in a clear tracking process.

01

Site quality-control process

Set inspection points alongside project scope and contractor responsibilities.

  1. Documents and inspection plan

Review approved drawings, specifications, material lists and the programme. Define inspection frequency, witnessed tests and points requiring verification before work proceeds.

  2. Materials and documentation

Match delivered makes / models, dimensions, agent compatibility and approvals against the approved list. Do not treat substitutions as equivalent without technical approval.

  3. Installation and coordination observations

Review routing, hangers and supports, device positions, maintenance access and clashes within scope. Record differences between design and site conditions.

  4. Nonconformities and corrective actions

Report each finding with location, technical basis, owner and target date. Responsible project parties review corrections, and completed work is rechecked.

  5. Testing and handover preparation

Witness tests within scope and review measurements and acceptance records. Match open items and as-built drawings to the handover package and report close-out status.

02

Topics kept explicit in quality assurance

Quality control is useful when the evidence for closing a finding is clear.

Approved design and changes

Use the latest approved revision on site. Track routing or product changes with decision records and the required technical review.

QA planning and QC observations

Quality assurance establishes plans and responsibilities; quality control records material, workmanship and test findings. Bring both together through close-out tracking.

Test scope and acceptance criteria

Define test methods and acceptance criteria before execution. Passing one test does not establish verification of other untested systems.

Responsibilities and clear reporting

Distinguish inspection, contractor delivery and design-approval authority within the contract. Report open items, conditional acceptance and completed verification separately.

03

Supervision by site conditions

Coordinate inspection with construction sequencing and work that becomes inaccessible later.

Industrial facilities

Site condition
Extensive pipework and work alongside production.
Inspection focus
Coordinate routing, supports, connections and access checks with work permits and installation sequencing.

Storage and logistics projects

Site condition
Rack installation progressing alongside fire protection.
Inspection focus
Compare sprinklers, in-rack lines and obstructions with rack plans and refer changes to the design team.

Complex multidisciplinary buildings

Site condition
Mechanical, electrical and architectural interfaces.
Inspection focus
Inspect concealed work before closure and track automation interfaces and testing responsibilities together.

Gaseous protection and sensitive spaces

Site condition
Enclosure boundaries, integrity and release controls.
Inspection focus
Compare nozzle and pipe layouts, enclosure conditions and relevant test documentation with the selected system design.

Supervision and QA/QC provide a defined project review scope. They do not replace formal product certification or authority acceptance; those approvals follow their authorised processes.

Site quality control includes verifying corrections as well as finding deficiencies. Share the approved design, programme and contractor scope to establish the inspection and close-out plan.
