Özkartay’s fire-safety work began in 1993 with the production and field practice established by Mechanical Engineer Orhan Özkan. From our Çerkezköy base, we provide products, project support and field services for extinguishers, fire cabinets and fixed suppression systems. We assess each facility’s risk, use and maintenance needs in its own operating conditions.

Engineering discipline and international safety standards guide all our activities. We develop project-specific solutions using Türkiye’s applicable fire-protection regulations, the relevant NFPA, EN and BS standards, and FM Global engineering guidelines. Compliance is assessed through calculations, technical documentation and commissioning records. We translate engineering calculations into site implementation to protect people and valuable business assets.
We analyse facility processes, operating conditions and existing fire-safety infrastructure on site, then report risk priorities in detail. Fire load, raw-material storage conditions and potential ignition sources along production lines are examined to develop a hazard map specific to the facility.
We assess the technical capability of existing active and passive fire-safety systems and their compliance with applicable regulations. From pump capacities to detection circuits, we examine how the infrastructure is intended to perform and function during a fire.
Site findings are scored and prioritized using recognized risk-assessment methods. We report comprehensive action plans with short-, medium- and long-term improvements to strengthen facility safety.
We design systems to meet technical specifications, local regulations and the international standards applicable to the project, including NFPA and EN requirements. The building’s architecture, use and site conditions shape engineering solutions that fit the facility’s protection needs.
We calculate pipe diameters, pump capacities and extinguishing-agent quantities using specialist engineering software. Detailed simulations verify that the system is sized to deliver the required pressure and flow at the most demanding nozzle or sprinkler head.
We carry out 3D coordination and BIM clash checks to coordinate fire-protection installations with mechanical, electrical and architectural disciplines. We prepare detailed, coordinated shop drawings that installation teams can follow on site.
Our services range from water-based sprinklers, fire cabinets and hydrant networks to fuel-compatible NFF and other foam solutions for flammable liquids. For data centres and technical spaces, we integrate FK-5-1-12, FM-200 and Inergen gaseous suppression systems selected for project conditions, alongside addressable detection systems that identify smoke at an early stage.
We install E120-certified fire doors manufactured to project and opening dimensions to limit fire spread and protect escape routes. Door hardware and smoke-control requirements are defined within the project scope. We also build safe evacuation routes with bespoke steel fire stairs, supported by structural calculations and coordinated with the building façade, floor levels and emergency escape strategy.
To support reliable systems with a long service life, we source materials according to the international approvals, such as UL/FM, and product certifications required by the project specification. Valves, pipes, detectors and other equipment are assessed for compliance with the relevant quality standards and installation conditions during procurement.
Completed fire-protection and detection installations are tested on site against the facility’s emergency scenarios and design parameters. We verify integrated operation and check that the systems respond in coordination to the defined fire scenarios.
Our specialist engineers conduct test procedures according to the NFPA, EN and BS standards and FM engineering guidelines applicable to the project. Site tests and technical records document compliance with the relevant safety and insurance requirements.
We prepare and hand over complete commissioning reports and acceptance records in accordance with the international standards applicable to the project. System functions are tested and commissioned, and the installation is handed over in working order, ready for operation.
We plan maintenance according to the system type, applicable regulations, standards and manufacturer instructions to keep fire-safety infrastructure ready for service. Project-specific three-, six- and twelve-month maintenance plans are coordinated with equipment-specific inspection and testing intervals. Maintenance, refilling and periodic inspection within the scope of our TSE Service Competence Certificate (HYB) support the continued reliability of the systems.
