Hose trolley: site planning for a mobile reel
The two-wheel reel trolley keeps the hose organised and allows movement between connection points. Options are available for 50 and 60 m of 1" (25 mm) hose. Plan the connection, travel route and water requirement together.
01
Product selection and installation planning
Selection brings the product connection and layout requirements together with the needs of the site.
Hose length
Compare the 50/60 m options against the actual route, and account for hydraulic losses with greater length.
Site connection
Match the 2"–1" tail-coupled valve connection to the existing outlet and hose arrangement.
Travel route
Check the ground, thresholds, slopes and storage point. Include trolley movement in the response plan.
Reel inspection
Inspect the chassis, the reel’s 85 micron electrostatic powder coating (red), wheels, brass waterway and rotating hub after use.
02
Application planning for different spaces
These examples describe conditions to assess during the site survey. The fire protection design determines the final layout and equipment selection.
Large sites and service routes
- Site requirement
- Multiple access or water connection points.
- Planning approach
- Define the travel route between the storage position and connection points.
Workshops and maintenance areas
- Site requirement
- Temporary equipment and changing work layouts.
- Planning approach
- Arrange hose routes and trolley parking to keep working traffic clear.

Selection and installation checklist
Scroll the table horizontally to view every column.
| Selection item | Product / option | Site check |
|---|---|---|
| Hose diameter | 1" / 25 mm | Water outlet and connection fit |
| 50 m | 1" (25 mm) hose | Travel route and hydraulic loss |
| 60 m | 1" (25 mm) hose | Supply scope of the selected model |
Trolley selection includes transport and supply conditions as well as hose length. Confirm the connection and equipment list during the site survey.
